Have Yourself a Mecca Christmas

Not gonna lie I'm pretty pleased with the title of this post. Coming up with titles just isn't my forte so when this popped into my head I was stoked. There are a lot of things to love about Christmas, one of which is all the gorgeous beauty holiday collections. As usual, I wasn't planning on buying anything at all but when I saw everyone going crazy over the Mecca holiday gift sets I had to see what all the fuss was about. Of course, the inevitable happened and items made their way into my basket and arrived the next day which was amazing especially since I live rurally so things tend to take longer. 

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion / NZ $26

I've heard a number of bloggers/YouTubers say really good things about this product so I thought I would give it a go. Previously I was using the Lioele A.C Control Night Spot which is basically the same thing but cheaper at $14.95. It's made with a blend of calamine and salicylic acid to clear up and soothe unsightly whiteheads overnight. Whenever I use it, there aren't any immediate results the next morning but I have noticed my pimples come up and disappear quicker which is great. 

Kitsch Astrology Hair Ties / NZ $13

Hair ties weren't on the top of my list when I was looking through Mecca but as soon as saw these I just knew I had to have them. I'm a sucker for anything astrology/stars/moon related. These are crease free limited edition hair ties and are stunning. I just love the astrological designs + the glitter.

Stila Written in the Stars Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow Set / NZ $39

Speaking of glitter... This was the item I knew I wanted to have. Once again I'd seen the Stila liquid eyeshadows be brought up by bloggers and I've always wanted to try them out. This set is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect for the festive season. There are three stunning glitter shades; Diamond Dust, Kitten Karma & Smoky Storm. As an eyeshadow novice I'm a bit nervous about letting it loose on my eyelid so hopefully, it does'nt turn into a glitter bomb.
