Passion & Motivation

For me, passion & motivation go hand in hand. If I'm passionate about something I'm therefore more motivated to do it or work towards it. Some of the time this passion comes in short bursts. I have an idea, get excited about it, make plans but it ends up fizzling out. The idea is still in the back of my mind but my passion and therefore motivation is gone.

Like with everyone figuring out what I wanted to do with my life was the most stressful thing. For me I felt like I was in limbo, stuck with no way out. Around this time last year, I finally figured out my career goal and is something that still excites me when I think about it. I've come up with a plan of sorts to get there which for me makes it less stressful, knowing my way through the maze.

The topic of passion & motivation is one that I'm always drawn to and I'm thinking of doing a guest post series kind of. I just have to come up with questions which are the hard part.

The Warehouse Fashion Haul

I have recently gotten some new clothes from The Warehouse and thought it would be easier to show them on video rather than a post. I think these are from the Autumn/Winter range. I really like the pieces I got and would be great for an Autumn look.

Fashion Haul | Postie+, Nike & Mirrou

As you can see it's another haul video which will be the last for a while as I've got no more new stuff to share. 2017 Birthday Gifts

My birthday was early last week and this was almost everything I got. I also got some chocolate/lollies which are gone let's be honest as well as some pyjamas which I completely forgot about. The bottoms had Paris themed images so needless to say I love them.

Taupo Photo Diary

Books to Read in December

After a short hiatus Books to Read in... has returned to video form. I just feel like it's a better format, I can just read off the synopsis instead of typing it all out which I felt was strange. Since it's December I thought it was only appropriate to bring out the Christmas music which just makes everything more festive.

YouTube | Pink Inspired Makeup Look

So this was suppose to go up on Friday but some stuff happened and I only managed to get the video up very early this morning.

It's been just over a month since I did a video and thought it was well overdue. It's another beauty one this time with a pink theme, it will make sense when you watch it.

Introducing...

I can't believe I finally did it. I've been thinking and planning re branding the blog for the longest time and I still cannot quite believe I manged to do it. I even went and got its own domain which is scary/exciting and I once again can't believe I manged to switch it over without too many breakdowns. The blog also turns 3 today, happy birthday blog!

I started and came up with the name arte della moda somewhat spontaneously. Coming up with names and titles doesn't come naturally to me so I ended up turning to google translator cause words just sound better in another language. Art and Fashion were some of the main topics I wanted to write about so I translated it into Italian and that was it. The name hasn't really fitted and it wasn't till this year when I looked at the blog as a whole and saw the name didn't correlate to what I was creating.

Like the first time I did it coming up with a new name that fitted the blog was challenging. I wanted something simple yet cool and memorable. One idea was using my name and overtime it stuck as none of the other ideas I had were any good.

Using my name isn't really new or unique but it allows me the freedom to write about what I want without feeling like it doesn't fit.

So yeah. I'm really happy with the new design as well, it took me a while to find one which I was totally happy with and it was on sale! It was meant to be.

I can't believe that it's the middle of 2016, the months seem to blur past. Winter has also started to set in which I am not happy about. I hate the cold but I love coats and layering, I can't win. Once again my favourites are a mix of things, I need to get into the habit of noting things I like down during the month. Saves me from doing the last minute rush, as always.

You may not know but recently I've been putting some videos up on YouTube. The latest two are ones in which I am in front and speak to the camera. Before I was terrified to do so but for some reason the idea has now sparked some kind of creativity, opening up a variety of things to do videos on.
